When can a lender change Block 1 on the GFE?
HUD has not provided written guidance on this topic. However, it has indicated orally that Block 1 can only change if the loan amount changes or the borrower changes loan products. Any changes to the interest-related charges that may occur when the rate is locked must be disclosed in Block 2 rather than Block 1.
