Q:  What happens if NCUA approves a community expansion that is under 2.5 million potential members, but future population growth causes the number of potential members to exceed 2.5 million?

A:  The population of a proposed community charter conversion or expansion request is only assessed at the time an application is submitted for review.  NCUA does not reassess the area for compliance with the population limits established in Appendix B to Part 701 of its rules and regulations.
