Int Q&A – Standard Flood Haz Det 2 – May a lender provide the SFHDF to the borrower?

Compliance > Lending > Flood > FAQs
Q:  SFHDF 2. May a lender provide the SFHDF to the borrower?

A:   Yes. Although not a statutory requirement, a lender may provide a copy of the flood determination to the borrower. In the event a lender provides the SFHDF to the borrower, the signature of the borrower is not required to acknowledge receipt of the form. The Agencies note that under the FEMA process for a Letter of Determination Review (LODR), a lender would need to make the determination available to the borrower.
