Q: What is the appropriate loan amount to report for withdrawn, denied, and approved not accepted HMDA applications?
 
A: An institution should report the amount applied for on a withdrawn or denied HMDA application, as discussed in the HMDA instructions. An institution should also report the amount applied for on an approved not accepted HMDA application, including when the institution issues a counteroffer that the applicant does not accept.
