Q:  When should the NCUA official advertising statement be used?

A:  For insured credit unions, the NCUA official advertising statement is to be used in all advertisements, including on its main Internet page, unless exempted.

The regulation contains information on the types of advertisements which do not require the official advertising statement.  This includes, but is not limited to; credit union supplies such as stationery (except when used for circular letters), listings in directories, advertisements by radio that do not exceed 30 seconds in time, pens and key chains.
